Architect Aino Aalto was a Finnish design pioneer with her modern approach to functional, beautiful design that emphasised an honest use of materials. Inspired by ripples in the water, Aalto’s pressed glassware series won the Milan Triennial and has been in constant production at Iittala since 1932.
