Vintage ceramic set of plates from 1960s by the genius Stig Lindberg for one of Sweden’s oldest factories, Gustavsberg.

Stig Lindberg designed the Birka series in 1973 for Gustavsberg. It consists of tableware with sturdy forms, eggshell white glaze, and linear decors.

Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Stig worked for the Gustavsberg factory in 1937-1980. He is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
